In summary, a clear shoot brief is essential to ensuring that your photoshoot meets your expectations and achieves your desired outcomes. By communicating your vision and expectations clearly, you can work with your photographer to create images that are impactful, effective, and aligned with your goals. So next time you book a photoshoot, take the time to create a clear shoot brief and reap the benefits of a successful and satisfying shoot.
Why is it important to provide a brief?
In addition to the guidelines and training that each of our photographers and videographers follows, every location will have unique elements that you may want to capture.
A brief can help us:
Not to forget important shots (views, architectural specificities, common parts, etc.).
Adjust the photographic style to your brand image.
Prioritize and focus on specific locations.
To avoid the risk of oversight or failure.
A shoot brief should include details such as the intended use of the images, the desired style and aesthetic, the specific shots and angles needed, and any important details about the location or subject matter. This information helps the photographer to understand your vision and tailor the shoot to meet your needs.
Without a clear shoot brief, there may be miscommunication and misunderstandings between the client and photographer, leading to unsatisfactory results. A clear shoot brief also saves time and resources by ensuring that the shoot runs smoothly and efficiently, without wasting time on shots that are not needed or do not align with the client's goals.
Please Note: If you choose not to leave instructions, our teams will not be held responsible for a missing or inadequate shot. You will have to book another shoot if you would like this done.
How do I leave my comments or brief?
You can leave comments when you book a shoot or later (at least 2 hours before the start time) on your Shoootin account under the booking.
Please note:
It is possible for you to ask for specific shots during the shoot, but we encourage you to verify they are done as desired. If this was not indicated in the comments of the order, Shoootin would not be able to send a photographer to complete your request.
Our teams do not take briefs over the phone or by email, except in the case of written validation from our side.
We encourage you to always leave comments on your booking to avoid a failure or an error.
Specify at least if there are specific views (views, locations, or others) because during a shorter shoot, it may be difficult to recognize all the elements to highlight.
